I have been busy "wrapping" our kitchen units - transforming them from boring white into a rustic oak, using Ribbeck Oak vinyl. The product is easy to use - just take your time and plan your cuts carefully so you get minimal waste. the grid pattern in 1cm marks on the back is great for this. Once finished the cabinets look as though they have always been that way. The vinyl is thin enough to be easily applied, but thick enough to cover minor imperfections such as scratches etc. Initially I was just planning to do our original (and much older) sink unit, but we liked the effect so much we have carried on with the rest of the kitchen! Just one drawer and a few cabinet doors to do. I'm actually finding it therapeutic, relaxing to do!
I was a bit apprehensive about covering my kitchen cabinets with vinyl wrap, but after the first one I was hooked. It’s a cost effective way to completely transform and update your kitchen. I chose the mattress white wrap for a classic clean look - and I absolutely love it.
It was so easy! And they look fantastic. I sorta winged it and couldn’t cut the right angle on the trimming but looks good enough
