Yes. All our collections—d-c-fix®, TGA, and the 122 Series—are designed to be heat-removable. This makes them an excellent choice for rental properties, commercial leases, or anyone who likes to update their style frequently.
How to remove it:
The easiest way is to apply heat using a hairdryer (low to medium setting) or a heat gun. This softens the adhesive bond, allowing you to peel the film away slowly and cleanly.
Will it damage the surface?
On hard, smooth, and sound surfaces—like laminate benchtops, melamine cupboards, glass, or tile—the vinyl usually comes off with little to no damage.
However, please note that results depend on the condition of the surface underneath:
- Sound Surfaces: Laminate, factory-finished cabinetry, and cured paint usually remain intact.
- Compromised Surfaces: If the surface is already flaky, chipped, or if the paint was not fully cured before application, some minor paint lift may occur upon removal.
Residue:
If any sticky residue is left behind, it can be easily wiped away with hot soapy water or a glue remover.
