Unrolled the edging well before use to relax it a bit as it as coiled. Held it firm as I was sticking to ensure it went on straight. Looks really great.
Replacement pack of peel and stick worked really well. Product looks really really good.
This appears to have been a defective roll and we've reached out to the customer to rectify the issue.
This edging is the perfect thing to finish off your peel and stick tile project.
However, learn from my mistakes, it is extremely hard to cut, I could not cut it with the knife purchased off this site, I had to use a Stanley knife and even then I struggled to get a straight edge. When I was at Bunnings after the install to get silicone, I found the perfect knife set that has a flat edge (like a screwdriver) and used that to trim one piece i hadn't stuck on and it worked perfectly. Highly recommend getting some kind of knife that is wider than the width of the trim, that you can just push down and make a straight cut through the trim.
My next mistake was pulling the trim to tight to make sure it was straight on the wall when applying it and it retracted overnight and now i have visible gaps at the joins, unfortunately I don't have enough trim left to pull off the parts that I need to, to reapply and fill the gaps, so i will try to superglue them so the white wall doesn't show through the corners.
I also wouldn't recommend this as 'renter friendly' when sticking on top of paint, like the tiles, when I had to lift to straighten, it took paint off the wall.
UPDATE: have had to order another roll and some of the edging was coming unstuck. The sticky foam stays on the wall, but detaches from the black edging it's self. See last 2 photos, this happened to 4 out of 6 of the lengths I attached.
It has also shrunk, leaving bigger gaps than those shown in the photos.
Great transformation of old reception desk!. Our church didn't have money to replace the old joinery that was very dated, and we didnt want to waste good joinery anyway so this product helped give life back to it. We were aligning the bench edges to the edge of the timber rather than wrapping over and under the bench (which would be so much easier!). Even still I managed to make it work thanks to the workability of the product. I used the Vinyl home spreading tool which was essential. We used the matt grey on the underbench panels too.
The finish our laundry needed. Love the ease to hang the wallpaper and the texture is gorgeous.
This is a great option if you want to do a kitchen refresh on a budget. It is super easy to use - like covering books with duraseal. Definitely recommend
I’m a convert. I was sceptical but am now sold! on this product. Easy to install. I just cut with scissors on my exposed edges as I’m putting corner trim on the edge of the wall. It sticks perfect, doesn’t bubble. Applied to dry cement board. See photos in application in my dog grooming salon.
