Content Creator & Social Media Coordinator

Location: Auckland (Work from home, with occasional local meetups in Torbay)
Hours: 20 hours/week, flexible schedule
Type: Permanent part-time employee position (subject to a 90-day trial period)

About the Role

Do you love interior makeovers, DIY hacks, and before-and-after transformations? Are you as comfortable with a squeegee in your hand as you are in front of a camera?

Vinyl Home is a fast-growing e-commerce brand helping people transform their spaces on a budget. We're looking for a creative, driven content creator to run our organic social channels and bring our DIY products to life.

You'll work directly with our Director, using proven strategies and clear weekly objectives. Once you have the brief, you run with it: planning, filming, editing, and posting independently.

What You'll Be Doing

• Run our organic socials day to day: plan, film, edit, and post short-form video (Reels, TikToks, Shorts).
• Get hands-on: install our self-adhesive films and DIY products, and document real transformations.
• Repurpose and curate: give new life to top-performing assets from our content library, and collect and curate customer UGC.
• Be the face and voice: share tips, tutorials, and behind-the-scenes moments on camera.
• Create content that sells: your videos will also be used in our paid ads, so quality and performance matter.

Who You Are

• A DIY and decor enthusiast who genuinely enjoys home improvement, styling, and creative projects.
• Fluent in short-form video. You know what makes a hook work and keep up with trending audio and formats.
• Confident with a camera and editing apps (CapCut, InShot, Premiere Rush, or similar).
• Natural on camera: relatable and engaging when speaking directly to an audience.
• Self-driven: you can take a brief and deliver without being chased, with strong attention to detail and good written and spoken English.
• Auckland-based so you can collect products, film content, and join team check-ins.
• Legally entitled to work in New Zealand.

Why You'll Love Working With Us

• Flexibility: group your hours into focused days or spread them across the week. You control your calendar, as long as the work gets delivered.
• A role that grows with you: as we scale, there's room to expand your role, develop your digital marketing skills, and explore performance bonuses.
• Free products and creative freedom: transform your own (and/or our) space with our products and test your design ideas.
