We are excited to announce that our premium DIY vinyl products are now on display at Home Ideas new design room in Wellington. We are able to showcase our complete range of products in sample form including our Vinyl 3D wall tiles, self-adhesive floor tiles, ceramics wallpaper and sticky back plastic. What makes it extra compelling is that it's not just an ordinary showroom; it is new thinking, modern and will for sure bring out the creativity in you.
About the design room
The design room is an innovative concept that Home Ideas launched in 2021. The room is the ideal playground for renovators, DIY-ers, interior designers, influencers and anyone with an interest in home improvement and design. It's a place where brands come together under one roof to enable the creation of mood boards, touch and feel and comparison of colours, design and texture. It's a place to dream and visualise your dream home.
The design table
At the centre of the design room is a massive purpose built design table. This is the heart of the room where all the creativity take place, ideas form and concepts come to live. This is the place where texture and colour meet design and brand. Visitors can touch and feel our vinyl samples and pair them with designs from high reputable interior companies. This is the place to get a feeling for what is the perfect product combination for your project. Just select your favourite Vinyl Home tiles, sticky back plastic and wallpaper and pair them with everything from stylish tap ware, knobs and panels to your tailor-made colour palette.
From concept drawing to production display
We have created a board that enables you to experiment with samples, touch and feel the products and combine colours and patterns to create your own mood board. Take a look at how we went from concept drawing to production below.

The centre of the wall panel has a purpose built shelf with large samples from our popular product ranges. Select your favourite Metro subway tile colour and pair it with everything from our bestselling Moroccan floor tiles to wood grain sticky back plastic and stone wall wallpaper.
Exhibitors
We are proud to display our Vinyl Home DIY products right next to some of New Zealand's most inspiring interior design brands and industry leaders such as Resene, ABI Interiors, Creative Crete, Craftstone, Aspiring Walls and Laminex.
Create your own mood board
At the Home Ideas centre you can sample products from all the exhibitors. Bring them to the design table and get creative. When you've created your inspirational mood board take a picture and upload it to your social media. Make sure that you tag your post with #vinylhome to be featured on our page.
And don’t forget to look on our website at some of the moodboards we have already created for you. We've got something for everyone no matter if you're a minimalist, shabby chick or contemporary decorator. We've got you covered with ideas for your bathroom, kitchen, furniture and more! A mood board is such a great start to any renovation project as it enables you to visualise what the makeover may look like and takes you one step closer to your dream home.

How to prepare for your visit
There is no must to prepare for your visit but here are some helpful hints that would make you get the most out of your visit:
- Take photos of the space that you are planning to renovate / decorate
- Take measurements of the surface you are intending to cover with our vinyl products
- Bring any colour swatches or other small attire that you already may have for this project
- Bring your camera or phone so that you can take photos of the mood boards you may create.
Home Ideas opening hours and location
Home Ideas is conveniently open seven days a week and offer the following visiting hours:
Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm
Saturday 10am - 4pm
Sunday 11am - 4pm
and most public holidays 11am - 4pm

Parking and entry are free to the public and trade!
You will find Vinyl Home's display stand and vinyl sample products in the design room on the first floor (right next to Creative Crete).
I don't live in Wellington. Can I still view your products?
Even if you don't have the opportunity to view our products at Home Ideas in Wellington, you can still order a sample of any of our designs directly from our website and get them sent all the way to your doorstep.
