COVID-19 update | How the current restrictions affect your Vinyl Home order

Update 25th November

Shipping delays

With the continuous challenges from COVID-19 restrictions, an increase in online shopping and the current Christmas rush couriers are unfortunately experiencing major delays around the country. In Auckland delays can be severe and some parcels may take up to four weeks for delivery. We understand that this may cause frustration and disappointment and we wish as much as you that you will receive your products as quickly as possible. Thank you for your continuous support and patience!

Christmas hours

Unfortunately we cannot promise shop before X date for a guaranteed delivery before Christmas. If you are after some DIY products before the holidays you are better off ordering them sooner rather than later.

Our last day of processing any orders before Christmas is:

Wednesday 22 December 2021

Shipping will then commence:

Wednesday 5th January 2022

Our customer service team will also take a break during the same time period. We will still monitor email and social media but will not respond to anything that isn't urgent until after the 5th January.

Stock levels

Lockdown meant that we nearly sold out our entire stock. Luckily we are now finally fully stocked up again for the summer rush and there is another massive delivery arriving next week so if your favourite item is currently sold out it's likely it will be there soon.

The only items we won't receive a delivery of this side of the year are our wall tiles. New stock will arrive early in the new year along with many fresh new designs that are right on trend!

 

Update 29th October

Great news! We have finally had delivery and will in the next few days be fully stocked up again of the majority of our designs. Please be patient whilst our warehouse is working as fast as they can to unpack the new goods. As soon as that's done the products will become available on our website. Some of the floor tiles and wall tiles have already been unpacked and are now live. The remaining products will be released over the weekend or on Monday.

Our sample levels are still low but will be stocked up soon again.

Turnaround times are slightly longer than normal due to the current environment. Order volumes have more than doubled for us and the other businesses our warehouse looks after compared to before lockdown. They have recruited and trained more staff whilst keeping to the current regulations and safety measurements.  

Couriers are also experiencing high demand and there are still some delays.

Update 2nd September

As of 1st of September we are shipping NZ and Australia wide. Our wonderful warehouse managed to get a large amount of orders out on the first day we were allowed to commence shipping again. Please be aware that due to the increased volume of orders we have had lately there is still a bit of backlog since we were in Level 4. Our warehouse is doing everything they can to clear this and work their way back to normal processing times. Please also keep in mind that delivery times may be longer than normal during this time. 

 

Update 27th September

Like many of you I’m sure, this last few weeks has been a roller coaster of challenges and emotions as we all come to grips with another lockdown. But I wanted to personally thank you all so much for supporting Vinyl Home and continuing to place your orders online. 😊

We know that some companies are flouting the rules and continuing to operate and dispatch “non essential” items however we are committed to protecting our staff and customers and doing our part to get NZ out of lockdown ASAP!

What the current restrictions mean for Vinyl Home

Currently we are at Level 4 which means our online store is still open and receiving orders but we are unable to dispatch these. That being said, when our levels do change and we drop down to Level 3, our warehouse in Tauranga is looking forward to getting your order ready. These orders will be processed in the order they were received so the oldest order will be dispatched first. When your order has been dispatched you'll receive a tracking email which means you will be able to see where your order is.

Expect delays

We do expect there to be a significant delay in shipping due to the level of orders and the couriers being in high demand. So please be patient and kind to our staff. We will get your order out as soon as we can.

Stock levels

Please note that if stock is not available on the website, it has been sold out. However we are expecting a delivery of new stock mid to end of October.

Unfortunately with the worldwide shipping congestion we are experiencing longer than expected lead times.
